Interactive data catalogue for marea R package

The marea R package provides curated data sets to support an Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) in Canada’s Maritimes Region. The interactive data catalogue provides technical documentation on 28 variables included in the package, as well as automated analysis of general trends across four management regions of interest in Atlantic Canada. The catalogue displays variable trends at an overall scale as well as for each management zone of focus, and interactive graphics allow users to isolate data to the resolution of interest.

The catalogue uses automated scripts to knit the most updated marea package data into an interactive pckdown document, with interactive plots, tables, and provided code. Plot formats vary for different structures of environmental data (spatial, tabular, timeseries), but were developed with static and interactive R visualization packages including plotly and mapgl and ggplot2.
